But seriously....how delicious does that look? Last week we had some friends over for dinner. We went the easy route with flank steak (takes 2 minutes to make the marinade, then a few minutes to cook it), orzo casserole (yummmm) and salad. For dessert, berry trifle.
How cute is the mini trifle dish?! Less than $2 at Wal*Mart. I HATE Wal*Mart. Thinking about going there makes me run to my anxiety meds and pop a couple. But I've come to realization that no matter how much I hate it, they have the best prices on many items, including individual trifle cups.
Berry Trifle:
1 can of sweetened, condensed milk
1 packet of instant vanilla pudding
1/2 C milk
1/2 C Cool Whip
(mix that all together)
in a tiny, adorable trifle dish, layer cubed pound cake and mixed berries. splash some grand marnier over that. Then pour some of the pudding/milk/cool whip mixture over that. put cool whip on top of that, sprinkle some berries on top, and you're done.
