This is Us

I am a 25 year old mama to 4 (yes, FOUR) babies: Maria, Jamie, Alice, and soon-to-be Charlotte. My husband Danny and I are super busy! We spend our days playing dress up, reading, "doing art," laughing, and we definitely watch our fair share of Noggin.

A Day

People ask me all the time, "So...what do you do all day? I'd love to just stay at home."

I'm not someone who goes on a big rant about how staying home is WAY more work than physically going somewhere to work, but it does bother me...

...because I definitely don't just sit around all day.

I get to pick up random toys all day long. Like Woody and Buzz who are always laying around. Talk about lazy.
This bathroom needs straightened up at least 5 times a day. It doesn't matter how many times I tell my 5 year old and 3 year old NOT to take more toilet paper than they need, NOT to feed the fish, NOT to get into the drawers, etc., they still do it.
Jamie's bedroom looks like this many times throughout the day:

Until I clean and straighten it. Finally his superhero friends can lay around (again...lazy) in a clean room.

I vacuum at least once a day. Most often 2 times. I love my Dyson.
Can you see the little triangles in the carpet? They make me happy

I clean lots of clothes every day. And fold lots of clothes every day. And put away TONS of clothes every day.

I make lunch. I clean up after lunch.

I have a tiny little helper who doesn't like being put down even for a second.

I work outside (not everyday, but today I did)
Then, while Alice is napping and the kids are downstairs, I get on Facebook. ahhh, how I love facebook.

And my blackberry. And my bbm contact Cenone who I can count on to answer all my bbms in less than 5 minutes. Every. Single. Time.

Then it's bath time. THis is actually Jamie's second bath today.

Then dinner. Making it, eating it, getting the kids to eat it, and cleaning up afterwards.

Once the kids are in bed, we play a little Wii.

12th place is horrible.

Okay, so it's not like I am working non-stop all day long. But I am busy. I get exhausted telling the kids not to fight, to share, to go use the potty, to wash their hands, to eat their lunch....

I feed Alice every 3 hours (yes, I still nurse her. yes, that is a lot for a one year old to nurse. no, i don't really care what anyone thinks about it.)

On school days, I take the kids to school, run a couple errands, and pick them up.

When kids are sick, there is a lot of crying and holding and cuddling and sleeping.

In a few months, I will be doing homework, too.

I love it. I wouldn't change it for anything.
