A Good Day

I had a really terrible day today. It involved a lot of tears from me (I don't cry very often or very easily). I was really, really upset over a few things someone said.

The day went on and I was still having a really really terrible day.

And then I looked at Alice. Alice with her perfect whale tail, sucking her thumb and only taking it out to smile or giggle.

Then I read Jamie's 'report card' from preschool. He is "mastering" every part of school except for one area. Riding a tricycle. This made me smile. Who would want to pedal when they can just scoot?

Then I heard Maria in the backseat of the car belting out a song. I look in my rearview mirror and she has a dance going, too. Then she turns to Alice and does her "boo ja ja" to make her laugh. Such a good big sister.

Then I talked to my dad who tried to remedy the situation...my dad who would pretty much do anything for me.

My mom called me 3 times to make sure I was okay. See above comment about my dad. Also applies to my mom.

And Danny.

Then tonight we packed the kids up and went to my parents for 'smores. We laughed a lot and ate a lot of mallows.

Maybe today was a good day.
