This is Us

I am a 25 year old mama to 4 (yes, FOUR) babies: Maria, Jamie, Alice, and soon-to-be Charlotte. My husband Danny and I are super busy! We spend our days playing dress up, reading, "doing art," laughing, and we definitely watch our fair share of Noggin.

Party Prep and Primal Cuts

6 days away.

In case you aren't on the same countdown as the Prasil house, that's the number of days until Maria's fairy themed party.

And check out what I got at JoAnn's yesterday for 40% off:

Yep, fake flower garland.

Oh, I know, they are pretty awful. But, they will be perfect for hanging from our lights in the dining room and across the mantel in the living room.

But yesterday, our goal was to finish (and start, I guess) the fairy wands. Because you absolutely cannot have a fairy party without sending each fairy home with a wand.

Or a tutu (which I broke down and purchased 10 of last week)

Or wings.

That would be horrible.

And luckily, these wands only cost around $1.50 each because we had most of the stuff already, and Danny can make anything. It's true.

And there is the raw fairy wand:

We painted them (pink, green, and blue to match the tutus), sprayed glitter on them, and then hung ribbons from each star.

And it all goes so much more quickly (lie) with tiny hands helping.

And I'll show a completed picture when we show photos of the party. Mostly because I'm too lazy to go get a finished one, take a picture, upload it on flickr, then upload it on here.

But believe me when I say they are adorable.

And another craft from yesterday was a gift for our friends Brad and Andrea who are having a baby in July.

Brad and Danny have been friends since they were 15 (I think) and I hung out with Brad before I even hung out with Danny...so we consider him a really great friend. He and Andrea have Emma who is 4 (almost 5) and came to visit last July (remember?). They live in Atlanta and Brad is a chef, so I knew that I wanted something adorable and unique for their new baby.

I found this book:

Which is so cute. I bought one for Lottie, too.

But when he comes to town (which isn't often enough, ahem) he and Dan like to eat gross things like suck marrow out of bones and such.

And pigs are gross. Except bacon, I'll eat bacon....but I thought with Brad being a chef and probably liking gross things like pig, he'd get a kick out of this onesie:

Primal cuts of pig. Sick. But so cute. Especially for the baby boy of a foodie chef.

I know, a bunch of the stitches aren't very tight, but it really adds to the uniqueness of it, right?

RIGHT???

Felt, needle, scissors and thread, baby.
