We love birthday parties at the Prasil house.
Actually, we love any type of party. Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day....but especially birthday parties.
And especially themed birthday parties.
(How on earth are you supposed to decorate if you don't have a theme...or at least a color combination you are going off of?! I don't get it!)
Jamie turns 4 on the 28th of December and today was his birthday party with his friends.
There are LOTS of people in his preschool class (I think something like 28!) and this month is so crazy anyway that I couldn't stomach the thought of 28 3 and 4 year olds at my house, so I told Jamie to think of 10 friends to invite. It was a lovely group.
Oh, and the theme? Dinosaurs.
Nothing says, "Birthday party!" like balloons. Color coordinated, duh.
The best part of all was the art that was created by Jamie and Maria. Jamie drew this T-Rex. Lots better than I could have done!
And for lunch? Gourmet chicken nuggets, goldfish crackers and applesauce. No, no, people. These weren't microwaved nuggets. We went the extra mile and cooked them in the oven. Gourmet.
I think the others did, too, but there were lots of nuggets left over. They don't appreciate the oven-baked nuggets like they should.
And after the song was sung, he blew out his candle. This picture makes me wanna cry and I don't even know why! Something about Jamie melts my heart. Something about him smiling and being so pleased and happy makes me so happy.
Presents
Presents that were awesome! His friends went overboard when they spoiled him. He got playdough, a real piggy bank, toy story toys, RC car, flying jet...lots of really great stuff.
So they played.
