She really is.
And today is her "I Am Special" day at school.
Okay, so I'm not sure if that is the official name of it, but she gets to share her "I Am Special" poster with her class, and that totally deserves an entire day devoted to her being special. I think.
Last week (I think Thursday) while Maria was at school, the little kids and I went to Joann's where they happened to be having a really great sale on scrapbooking stickers.
I am not a scrapbooker. I once went through a phase where I thought I really wanted to be one, because I'm pretty sure all "good" moms scrapbook every single event in their children's lives. But I hate it. I really, really hate it. But I know a good scrapbooking sticker when I see it.
And boy, did we see some! I think we bought, like, $40 in scrapbooking stickers, and that was after the sale price.
And she didn't even use them all. But we did come up with this beautiful poster (yes, the ribbon around the edge was completely my genius idea, and (toot toot) it is a freaking sweet one at that):
"My Family": not every person pictured here is technically family. But, they pretty much are in our book.
We didn't have any pictures of Scout and Zeek, so we had to really quickly snap a few and print them off at home. (look at those sweet stickers). They don't deserve a heart charm on their collars. Mostly because Zeek chews both his collar off and Scout's and it doesn't make me love them any more. In fact, it makes me love them just a little bit less.....
...but Maria loves them.
The one real picture I have of Charlotte is her ultrasound picture, and there was no way I was going to cut that up for this poster. Not that special. (I kid....but seriously..)
It's true, this girl loves vacations. And she is spoiled rotten. I think she has been to Disneyland/world (help me out, here, Lala) something like 5 or 6 times, counting when she was in utero. And Mexico, Hawaii, Bahamas....ah she is a cultured little thing ;)
And this morning, she was so excited to show off her poster at school. She couldn't sit still and she couldn't not make super silly faces.
And after a brush to that crazy hair, shoes on, and choppers brushed, we had to snap a picture. And Alice squealed when I told her to get out of the way, so we pretended she wasn't there. You pretend, too.
Could she be any sweeter? Or more special? Nope.
