Alice Maureen

She is almost 2 and I can't believe it.

Pretty soon, she'll be the big sister, but I still feel like she is the baby (and I'm not sure I'm ready for her not to be my baby).

She has eyelashes like her brother and sister: delicious.

She is hilarious.

She talks non-stop...without saying many real words. She uses "Yah!" and "Nooooo" and "Mama" for lots of things...and squeals and whines for lots of others.

But she laughs so much.

She thinks she is the queen bee in our house, and the big kids see nothing wrong with that.

They treat her like gold and will scramble to find anything she might want if she gets upset.

She is so spoiled.

She knows it and she loves it.

But she's so sweet, too.

She gives hugs and kisses out all the time now, and learned to say, "Love you" which makes me melt. She gets concerned when Jamie is sick and if she does something naughty, she knows right away and feels horrible....or guilty....whichever one it is, she cries and then just wants to snuggle, which I'm totally okay with. (Smart of her, huh?)

And when we talk about the baby, she knows there's a baby in Mama's tummy (and sometimes in hers). And when we ask if she's ready for the baby, she shakes her head and says, "No" very sweetly and softly every single time. And Maria thinks it's a riot. So I hear it about 20 times a day.

But whether she likes it or not, Miss Alice is going to be a big sister very soon.

But look at her.

She'll be perfect.
